She wrote some very fine language poetry, as I recall.

I remember the Folio Bookshop fondly. It was located where Second Story is today. It was the only place in those days to find things like Breton's Nadja, or the poems of Laura Riding. It made DC feel like Paris! It was the perfect haven for a sixteen year old just discovering modern literature. I even attended several of the evening readings. A history of the Folio Bookshop would be an important chapter in the history of DC creative life.Adairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08472918455336742493noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3489069085436219130.post-8120169222196738042007-08-07T14:16:00.000-07:002007-08-07T14:16:00.000-07:00Tom, the photograph is by Michael Corcoran, Corcor...Tom, the photograph is by Michael Corcoran, Corcoran College of Art + Design Alumnus. Loved your history of the DC poetry scene back in the 70s. Hope it's as vital and interesting now as it was then.
Andrea Wyatt's "Right Of Return" knocks me out.
Keep on keepin' on,

BobAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3489069085436219130.post-71839112623390313592007-08-02T06:00:00.000-07:002007-08-02T06:00:00.000-07:00what a great photo! more, please...what a great photo! more, please...tmorangehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13540323590390887131noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3489069085436219130.post-23468894994657831052007-08-02T03:23:00.000-07:002007-08-02T03:23:00.000-07:00woofwoofdouglanghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00045305196252862765noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3489069085436219130.post-85998199828088512362007-07-30T11:27:00.000-07:002007-07-30T11:27:00.000-07:00good of you to acknowledge the role of petsgood of you to acknowledge the role of petsRyan W.https://www.blogger.com/profile/01945769909647155149noreply@blogger.com
